Architecture

The homes at Firethorn reflect the splendor and elegance of some of the oldest homes in the area built at the turn-of-the-century, sometimes referred to as “Old Linville” and now considered “Rustic Modern.” The look was inspired by the refined and gentried, who built rustic but grand cottages for summer homes. While these privileged needed a large space for their entourage, they considered ostentation to be in bad taste. These homes will — with great attention to detail — utilize natural building materials such as stone, timber, wood shingles, bark siding, and other native materials that define the upscale, old world mood at Firethorn.

Nature, of course, provides the ambiance and this feeling, reflected in the architecture of Firethorn, is timeless and has endured for generations.
